In the past, contractors relied heavily on mudjacking to level concrete that had settled over time. Mudjacking is an easy, affordable way to lift concrete by pumping a slurry below a slab through holes at the surface. However, mudjacking isn’t the perfect solution for Atlanta concrete lifting because the material pumped below is extremely heavy and could create additional settling as a result.
At AquaGuard, we use PolyLevel® injection in Atlanta for concrete lifting of slabs to a level position while using less weight than the traditional mudjacking or slab leveling technique. PolyLevel® can repair sunken concrete slabs, such as driveways, sidewalks, patios, basement slabs, and more.
How Does PolyLevel® Lift Concrete?
The PolyLevel® System utilizes high-density polyurethane foam to stabilize and level concrete floors and foundations. The PolyLevel® process starts with drilling penny sized holes in the concrete slab. From there, a structural grade polymer is injected into the void. Once the void is filled, the expanding properties of the polyurethane foam begin to lift and level the slab. The holes are grouted and sealed as part of the final step, and the concrete slab is completely repaired.
How PolyLevel® compares to other concrete leveling techniques
In the past, mudjacking was considered the best way to fix sinking concrete stairs, driveways, sidewalks, etc. However, mudjacking didn’t completely or permanently solve the problem, which is why AquaGuard Foundation Solutions’ national structural repair network, Foundation Supportworks, Inc. (FSI) invented PolyLevel® to fix your sinking concrete problems. AquaGuard serves as the exclusive FSI dealer for Greater Atlanta and North Georgia, and thus serves as the region’s exclusive PolyLevel® contractor. Take a look at why PolyLevel® is actually a better solution for your concrete slab settlement problem.
