In order to help employees stay focused, have a purpose, enjoy work and WANT to serve customers day-in and day-out, the leadership team invests ample time and resources into maintaining strong morale. Each employee’s role has meaning at AquaGuard, and it’s employees are constantly reminded of how impactful that meaning can be. Thus, team spirit is generated daily, but one day each summer goes above and beyond to celebrate the wonderful AquaGuardians who comprise our company: Redefine Day. An annual tradition, this year’s theme was Dominate, throughout which employees were reminded that in order to best serve each other, customers, and the communities they embody, they must strive to dominate with purpose – the purpose of providing peace of mind – with each action they take.
A paid day off for all, employees gathered at KSU’s gymnasium Friday, June 14th for the 2019 Redefine: Dominate event. Following a morning of inspiration, motivation, catching up on the state of the company, and strengthening of AquaGuard’s Core Values, employees enjoyed savory food truck lunch options before reconvening for an afternoon of high-spirited fun. An Olympic-games-themed afternoon pitted teams against each other in a series of both goofy and competitive games, challenges and races, with each member of the winning team receiving a gold medal and $100.
Teams also completed a number of services projects prior to and throughout the Dominate event, giving back time and resources to those in need within the communities in which we live and serve. Each person gave it their all, exemplifying AquaGuard’s core values and having lots of spirited fun in the process.
